DIGGING Out the DUMPTRUCK! Built a TEMP Road in 30 Mins
As I was working on the property and focused on the new road and shaping the hillside I got my dump truck buried. I knew it was there and time just got away from me between farming and managing work and our campsite. I also knew if I needed the truck I would have to make a quick road to get it out. I knew the truck was parked safe and I was not worried about it. I needed the dump truck for a job site so I needed to get it out.

Excavation Project | PHASE 3 | Road FINISHED, Mountain RE-SHAPED
Переглядів 11 тис.14 годин тому
THIS WAS A HUGE Transfermation to our MOUNTAINSIDE!! Before we get into even bigger projects we need to get this mountain reshaped and contoured so we can put in our last garden of the season. Our tractor was the very first piece of equipment acquired and still to this day, it's used almost daily. Moving this much material is tedious and time-consuming, however, there is more to move after this...
PLANTED HAZEL Nut Trees ABOVE the New Road & had to stir up some 💩 with the Excavator
Переглядів 10 тис.День тому
We got a great deal on some hazelnut trees about 2-3 years old. We hope it does great here in IDAHO. After completing Phase 2 of the project we wanted to get these trees in right aways. The point of having hazelnut trees is to use the nuts to finish off the pigs for high-quality meat. However, the trees will grow amazingly up the flattened hill and do some great soil retention. As Always our ex...
Excavation Project | PHASE 2 | Testing I-Beam Blade on New Road Cut
Переглядів 15 тис.День тому
FIRST HONEST review of the NEW ATTACHMENT!! I could not be more excited. This hillside is ready for a road, and My mission is to move a few outbuildings, separate the top soil down to the clay layer, and carve in a new road to the gate. This project is weighing heavy on me cause I want it done very done. After all, I have a long list of other items to get to.
MAJOR Excavation PROJECT | PHASE 1 | Taking down Fences and Trees
Переглядів 13 тис.14 днів тому
This project has been behind the scenes for some time now, everything is filmed, and now it's time to break it down into phases. The fences went down from many angles. However, if you follow my wife's channel you would see the fence is already up and fixed, and in just the right spot. Her channel is @MountainMaplewithaSideofranch The final reveal is worth seeing and is a HUGE improvement to tak...

The Coolest TOOL I've ever BUILT - Scrapyard I-Beam
Переглядів 89 тис.21 день тому
I picked up a HUGE I beam and wanted to make a scraper blade for the excavator. I have to say I really enjoy the results and will be using it all over the property. This blade will make hard-to-reach places easer to maintain and create.
SCRAP Cast IRON and DRILL pipe fencing | CLOSING in the BACK pasture
Переглядів 15 тис.Місяць тому
I used my finds from the salvage yard to create a nice back fence corner with the iron seed packers. It’s such a neat feature and looks great on the mountain. For now the project will be on hold and we will probably come back to it next year. We will need around $1000 to really finish it with the continuous fencing that we want to get in the future.

You should think about adding a level to your I-beam blade for a reference when trying to repeat a slope

As a demolition operator, before retirement, we always grabbed an I-beam with our hydraulic thumb to clean debris off slabs and parking lots. It works much quicker than a skid steer and we just dropped it out of the thumb and had immediate access to the bucket again.

Yes, I did I got it from a scrap yard and made it to attach to the excavator. I have used it so much already. I took it out to a contact last week and it made beautiful and fast work of the ditches I needed to dig for a farmer.

Nice job. You made that look easy. Are you going to mark the height difference between the levels? Especially in your turn area coming off the new road. I was thinking of when you are snow-blowing. Easy to misjudge. I know you will have plans for that, I mention not expecting you not to already have done so but rather if you or anyone did tumble, I would be annoyed for not saying anything. You usually say what you will do in such situations, but as this was a short upload it probably didn’t make the cut. But as I said, nice job. ❤😎
